Twenty years ago Al & Pam began a personal journey of restoration
for their marriage. Having begun their marriage with a six
year “honeymoon” of building great friendship, dream
building, growing a family, being supportive of each other, and
exciting physical intimacy, they awoke one day to ask . . .
“Where
has the romance gone?”
“Where
is the friendship we once felt?”
“Where
is that special closeness?”
What they learned were the answers to the questions other couples
frequently ask, and has become the basis of this highly successful
program for individuals and couples.
Since 1993, Al & Pam have worked side-by-side as a successful
ministry team at Dayspring. They bring to their work, as
psychotherapists, the unique position of personally understanding
the grief and struggles clients face. Having walked the path
in their own life, they offer compassionate encouragement, strong
accountability and the wisdom of more than three decades of ministerial
and professional clinical experience.
In addition to directing the Dayspring
program, Al & Pam are
popular public speakers for workshops, seminars, retreats and camp
meetings. They have appeared frequently on Northwest television
and radio programs over the past 15 years. Please visit Resources to
learn more about their speaking ministry.
Today their life’s passion is working with individuals and
couples looking for healing and a place for a new beginning. Their
personal goal is to encourage hope in place of despair, give compassion
in place of condemnation, and to light the path of restoration in
place of destruction. They are living proof of God’s
promise, “For I know the plans I have for you, to prosper and
not to harm you. . . to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah
29:11; and Joel 2:25 which says “I will restore what
the locusts have eaten” .
Dayspring has
additional staff Counselors with
Masters Level Degrees, who counsel in the areas of marriage and
family, teen and children’s issues, trauma & abuse,
anger management, depression, anxiety/panic disorders, codependency
and spiritual wounds/abuse. The issues of recovery are “systemic” and
the entire family system has been affected/infected, requiring
a healing for all members of that family system (example: ACOA,
Adult Children of Alcholics). For more information, please call
us anytime at 503-244-4350. You may also contact us by email to
